Here I am again, but this time commenting on the Hunter Education Course.

For a city girl like me, this was a scary enterprise...but with a bit of studying ahead and all of Gilles' teaching and support...the learning process and curve were not bad at all. I feel so much more confident and at ease now with all aspects of hunting...just have to put it into practice now in the field...literally! Thanks again Gilles and Sue-Ann for another first class experience!! I promise to bring you a couple of deer steaks when I get my first one!!😀

Hi Gilles.

Many thanks once again for putting on a most excellent training program at last weekend’s CFSC for non-restricted firearms. I find your instructing technics to be first class along with a superb venue/classroom, excellent training aids, videos, demonstrations and training firearms. I could not have asked for anything more as I have been away from all firearms since retiring from the RCMP in 1993. The examinations were very comprehensive and fair in both written and practical/oral formats. Although I am not a hunter, I feel I am now fully prepared to return to target shooting at the range once I acquire a new .308 bolt action rife along with all necessary accessories and safety equipment after obtaining my PAL. I do sincerely hope we meet up again and until then please be well and stay well.

Good morning Gilles,

First, thanks for the great courses. A lot was new and a lot was a refresher. I've again got the urge for the great outdoors. The course still helped as a refresher and the new stuff like turkey hunting was helpful. The CO was a great addition from when I did the course when I was 16.

I have just completed both the Canadian Firearms Course and the Hunter Education Program with Gilles. He is a very good instructor and even though it is a lot of information to get through he keeps it interesting...especially with the sharing of personal experiences. When I attended the first course (Firearms) I was very surprised to see that there were a number of women, however now I am sure that even if I was the only woman Gilles would have made me comfortable. Hi Gilles, I just wanted to thank you for your teachings of the Ontario Hunters Education class this past week. Your dedication, passion and, most importantly, your patience throughout the course made it very interesting and very pleasant. I strongly believe that a certain portion of a student’s success does rely on the quality and knowledge of the teacher in front of the class. Finding ways to capture everyone’s attention, keeping them interested and making sure everyone understands what they are teaching is not an easy task. I raise my hat to you Gilles, as you met every one of these criteria’s and then some! Thank you for your time and effort. I can only imagine how many students out there now have the privilege of enjoying the great outdoors because of you dedication. I took all my training - Canadian Non-restricted and Restricted Firearms Safety Courses and Ontario Hunter Education Course with Gilles Lecompte at Ontario Hunters Ed in December 2018. Instruction was professional, interesting, and succinct, in a clean comfortable facility, with refreshments provided. Payment was easy with PayPal, and I was able to find inexpensive accommodation in the area through AirBnB. Extra effort was made to accommodate my needs as a visitor from outside the area, when weather was threatening. I highly recommend Gilles to anyone for any training. Thanks!

I just took the Canadian Firearms Safety Course with Gilles this past week-end and let me tell you, it was a great course, very well taught, precise and thorough. Gilles has unlimited patience because he had to answer many questions from me as I am a total novice in this department. He prepared us perfectly for both the written and practical exams. His classroom is bright, comfortable, spacious, well organized, clean and temperature-controlled. Nice country drive to get there and close to Orleans, where I came from. His wife Sue-Ann is very helpful with preparing you for all the paperwork involved in getting your license. They both make it a thorough, enjoyable process. Thank you so much. Now can't wait to take my Hunters Ed course in a few weeks!
